Helping street cats
one paw at a time

Find out how you can help our vital work supporting
the street cats of Dahab.

Caring for animals is one
of the best things you can do.

We are a volunteer led non-profit group working in the Egyptian bedouin town of Dahab, on the Gulf of Aqaba. We take care of the town’s street cats through ongoing neutering programmes, providing outreach treatment for sick or injured cats, finding foster homes in some cases, and finding adopters in Egypt and Europe. For all the cats who deserve a second chance of a home to call their own.

Cats looking for their forever home

In the heart of Dahab, Egypt, we have a big group of cats waiting for their forever homes. Each one has their own unique story of survival and hope. From playful kittens to gentle adults, they’ve all endured challenges but remain full of love and affection, ready to be part of a caring family. At the moment we have 48 cats.

Adopting a cat from our shelter means giving a second chance to a life that was once left behind. These cats are more than just pets; they are companions, each with a special personality, eager to bring joy, comfort, and love into your home. By opening your heart and adopting from us, you’re not only gaining a lifelong friend but also making a direct difference in the lives of animals who have faced neglect or abandonment.

Kittens

Kittens (0-6 months): Full of energy and curiosity, these little ones are always ready to play and explore the world. Is your home ready for a bundle of adventure?

Teenagers

Teenagers (7 months - 2 years): The perfect balance between playful and independent. These young adult cats are active but are also starting to develop their unique personalities.

Adults

Adults (3 - 6 years): Calm, balanced, and full of love. Adult cats haven't left their playful years behind completely, but they often enjoy more relaxed moments and cozy companionship.
